Well it's been a long time since I've updated our blog. Between working part time, going to school full time and being a full time mommy and wife, I was caught up in life. So, since January (yikes), Elizabeth has grown leaps and bounds both physically, mentally and emotionally. Her second birthday was on March 16 where we had a small family get together. I still think she's too young to understand what's going on birthday-wise. Maybe next year she'll get it!
In May I finished grad school and breathed a sigh of relief! I am glad I went back but I am also glad it's over. Oddly, part of me will miss school (my 16 year old self is gawking right now). And at the end of May we found out that we're expecting Baby #2! We are excited that our family is growing.
We had our first appointment June 25 where we heard the heartbeat and saw a couple pictures of baby. It's heart rate was 171 bpm! Another little racer. We are due January 29, 2014. We go back in a couple weeks for our next appointment. In my first pregnancy I was really sick- I lost weight, threw up daily and it lasted for weeks... far longer than the average female. But this time, I've thrown up twice and have only been dealing with nausea. It's still a daily occurence and it started early at about 6 weeks. I'm hoping it'll be gone soon... I mean it has to be, right?!
Things Elizabeth loves: Cinderella (Sur-rella), Mickey Mouse and all his clubhouse friends, doc mcstuffins, sofia the first, bubbles, dancing, jumping, singing, to wear socks on her hands
She can: count to 14, sing her abc's, knows basic shapes
Dealing with: Eczema on her face, not saying "no" to everything, listening to Mommy, letting things touch our hands and feet. Still has a milk-protein intolerance.
Sweet Sayings: "Is it nice and clean?" "Oh no, a mess!" "Daddy fix Mommy's trees" "Boys, come!" "Go see [fill in a family member's name]?"
Cravings and things I can eat: Apples! Water, plain crackers, cheerios, mac 'n cheese
Gag-worthy: meat (mostly beef), peanut butter, anything citrus (major acid reflux), pretty much everything else I love.
