Elizabeth turns 6 months old!

Elizabeth turned six months old this past Friday!  We can't believe how much time has already passed.  She had her doctor's appointment Friday morning and did pretty well considering she got 4 shots!  She now weighs 14 lbs. 8 oz. and has finally hit the 21st percentile!  Her head is still tiny and her length is in the 77th percentile at 26.5 inches. 

We discussed starting baby food so we're going to start her on rice cereal first since it's the mildest.  Next month we'll add a veggie!  She's very interested in our food and drinks so I know it's time!  She is working on holding the bottle and tries to 'drive' it (rolls it from side to side).  She's still eating every three hours of that expensive formula.  And no signs of teeth yet!

We are working on sitting... she likes to keep her legs straight instead of frogging out for support.  But she can lean against me and sit up just fine.  She's starting to lift her head off the ground too.  Her rolls are starting to become flips as she does them so fast!  You can't take your eyes off her because she moves around the room a lot.  And she's starting to do the inch worm crawl!

Her sleep habits are great!  We start our day between 7 & 8 and she takes her first nap 1 1/2 hours after she wakes.  Then she takes another nap right before lunch and then a late afternoon nap around 3.  Then we start our bedtime routine around 6...and some nights she doesn't make it past 7!  I wake her for one last feeding around 11 and then she sleeps through the night!  I am so grateful to have such a good sleeper! 

As you can tell by the video I posted last week she is talking up a storm!  If I'm on the phone with you it's common to hear her practicing different volume levels in the background!  We love hearing her little voice!

Happy six months sweet baby!  We love you.
